JV Design Partners With Res Publica to Design Metra 2010 Annual Report

With the launch of Metra Rail's new Web site, came the opportunity for a revamped annual report design. Each year the annual report (internally referred to as the budget book) proves to be a challenging piece with compressed timelines and ever-evolving and increasing data.

After two weeks and 52 pages,I am happy to announce a vastly improved design incorporating Metra's new branding. Additionally due to budgetary constraints the entire book was designed with the ability to be produced in either color or b/w.

Another mark in the Win column was the use of Adobe Acrobat to release "comment enabled" PDFs to the client. This allowed for more accurate and clearer edits and revision guidance, eliminating any deciphering of client intent or handwriting. Additionally we could provide edits in a fraction of the time, as well as creating a time-stamped record of changes for better organization.
